We are excited to announce our Spring and Summer line up of free guided hikes! Join us as we explore Forest Park and learn about its fascinating cultural and natural history. Hikes fill up quickly so don’t wait too long to sign up. Just click on the date of the hike you’re interested in joining. 

Saturday, May 4 from 11am – 12pm – Herb Walk 
A student from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) leads an hour-long herb walk in Forest Park! This educational romp will focus on the medicinal uses of plants that can be found in your own backyard. 

Saturday, May 18 from 9am – Noon – Nature Photography Workshop 
Want to learn how to take a great nature photo? Wondered how to harness natural light to turn your photographs into art? Sign up for this workshop with Bruce MacGregor, a photographer with decades of experience. 

Saturday, May 18 from 10am – 1pm – Eco-Hike 
Join a family-friendly hike with the Forest Park Conservancy! We’ll be learning about the ecology, habitat, and health of Forest Park as well as the work that goes into protecting and restoring it for future generations. 

Saturday, June 8 from 9am – 11am – History Hike through Forest Park 
Local historian, Tanya March, will lead a walk up Balch Creek. You’ll learn the about the outrageous characters, villains, and benefactors who put their stamp on the history of Forest Park. 

Saturday, June 15 from 10am – 1pm – Ferns and Fir-Mentaion: Beer Walk 
Take a walk in Forest Park with the Forest Park Conservancy, as we learn about making beer using ethical harvesting of common forest plants! 

Saturday, June 15 from 11am – Noon – Herb Walk

A fun and creative workshop where you will learn how to reuse and re-purpose that invasive ivy!

Take a walk in FPC’s Ancient Preseve and learn about making beer using ethical harvesting of common forest plants! 

Saturday, August 3 from 9am – 11am – History Walk
