Beers Made by Walking 2017!

Forest Park ConservancyUncategorized

This year’s Beers Made by Walking program will feature six local brewers who love Forest Park and also make some of the best beer and cider in town. Join us for hikes in Forest Park followed by beer tappings throughout the summer when you can sample their Forest Park-inspired beer. This is one of the most interesting ways to learn about plants and beer around! Each walk is different and each beer (or cider) is the portrait of the Forest Park landscape.

Here’s the schedule of hikes and beer tapping events!

Hike dates:

June 3rd from 10am – Noon: Walk with brewers from Lucky Lab and Breakside Brewery

June 10th from 10am – Noon: Walk with brewers from Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider and PINTS Brewing Company

Tapping dates:

June 22nd: Our only cider this year will be at Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider

June 27th: Stop by Hopworks Urban Brewery!

July 4th: Celebrate Independence Day at PINTS Brewery to sample their Forest Park brew.

August 1st: Check out two Forest Park-inspired brews at Lucky Lab and Breakside Brewery

August 15th: Base Camp Brewing is back with another fabulous beer!

Proceeds from the sale of all Forest Park-inspired beer and cider will be donated to the Forest Park Conservancy. These local brewers are helping FPC restore and protect Forest Park. It’s a win-win. You get to drink great beer and cider and Forest Park gets the support it needs to repair the trails and restore wildlife habitat!
