Overheard...

What helps identfify Portland is its parks. More than anything else, it's Forest Park...it establishes the geography of the city and it ties us to our history of settlement. It shaped the city, and it still shapes the city's personality"

- Chet Orloff, historian and chair of Portland Parks and Recreation Board

April Trail Work Party

In honor of Earth Day, The Forest Park Conservancy is joining forces with the Forest Park Neighborhood Association and SOLV to pull garlic mustard (an invasive plant) and pick up roadside litter along Germantown, Springville, and Skyline Blvd. Benny Pachovsky and his family usually provide lunch for volunteers. We are assuming that this year, they will do so again.
