Overheard...

What helps identfify Portland is its parks. More than anything else, it's Forest Park...it establishes the geography of the city and it ties us to our history of settlement. It shaped the city, and it still shapes the city's personality"

- Chet Orloff, historian and chair of Portland Parks and Recreation Board

Volunteer Trail Crew

There are a number of ways to get involved.

Volunteering: Friends of Forest Park cooridinates the vast majority of trail maintenance in the park, and offers volunteer work parties on the third Saturday of each month. There are plenty of new opportunities for folks to get involved.
