Take Action: Support Forest Park

Information on how you can become a member, volunteer, and get involved.

Members are the heart of Friends of Forest Park, ensuring that we continue to preserve and enhance Forest Park. There are a variety of ways you can get involved and help Forest Park.  Here are some:

  • donate nowJoin The Forest Park Conservancy. As a member, you'll receive our Forest Park Conservancy Quarterly print newsletter.  You will also receive monthly e-newsletters with up-to-date news and the inside scoop on hikes and other Forest Park events. Most importantly, you will join a growing network of citizens dedicated to protecting Portland's premier park.
  • Volunteer: Volunteers are always needed to help repair and improve Forest Park's extensive trail system, and to work on restoration projects. The Forest Park Conservancy hosts work parties on the third Saturday of each month, and occasionally hosts larger events (National Trails Day, Day of Stewardship). We also have a number of volunteer opportunities in the office.  Get involved and learn more about individual volunteer opportunities.
  • Sign up for our e-mail newsletter. Get the latest scoop on all news and events related to Forest Park. You can sign up using the Updates by e-mail box on the left side of this page. We promise not to share your e-mail address with anyone.
  • Get outside: The Forest Park Discovery Hike Series: From April through November, The Forest Park Conservancy offers a series of guided hikes. Get into the park with our talented hike leaders and learn more about the natural and cultural history of this region.
