"I just wanted to say thanks for organizing these hikes and to say we deeply enjoyed the hike to the old growth last weekend. We have looked at the forest on our own acreage with greater knowledge after the hike"

TRAILS PROGRAM

Friends of Forest Park leads volunteer trail crews and raises over $100,000 annually to manage and toolpileimprove Forest Park's impressive trail system. Beginning in 2007, Friends of Forest Park employs a Trail Program Manager to coordinate trail projects with AmeriCorps crews and volunteers.

Remember the landslide at mile marker 14.5 on the Wildwood Trail, or the Maple Trail damage from the 2005-6 winter? Thank Friends of Forest Park and our trail crew leader for the trail repair. We also arrange for new trail projects in Forest Park. In 2006, we completed two new project: the Firelane 5 Extension (mountain biking) and the Cannon Trail.
