First things first - you need to find your way to Forest Park. To help you find your way to various trailheads, we have created a handy google map with info on 19 of Forest Park's most popular trailheads.
Once you get there, you may need maps to help you navigate Forest Park's 80+ mile trail system. Here are your best bets:
Our popular set of 10 rain- and wear-resistant maps (printed on PolyArt) highlighting loop hikes or runs. Detailed driving directions to trailheads and along trails, pointing out highlights of each loop (hike distances range from 3 to 9 miles). Includes an index map of the entire park.
The cost of The Hiking and Running Guide to Forest Park 10-map set is $22.50.
By buying the map set directly from FPC, a greater portion of your purchase goes toward our stewardship efforts, maintaining and improving trails, and completing habitat restoration projects. Our office is located at 1505 NW 23rd Ave, on the corner of Quimby.
Call us at (503) 223-5449 with your address and credit card information. Or, mail us a request with a check for $24.50 ($22.50 + $2 postage) made out to The Forest Park Conservancy.
Alternately, the map sets are also available at the following retail outlets:
Another great option is the Green Trails map of Forest Park. It has great detail on topo lines, distances, elevation profile, trailheads and surrounding city streets. It also features a close-up map to help you navigate the web of trails in Washington Park and the Hoyt Arboretum. Best of all, it retails for $10. This map is a bit harder to find - your best bet is to purchase it directly from us (see above for details, or come visit us here on weekdays) or at the flagship REI.
