Rapid Response Team Training: EDRR/Invasive Species
Capacity: 20 (80% booked)
Welcome Rapid Response Team Members!
Do you find yourself braving the trails whenever the RRT call goes out? Do you want to know how to properly identify the myriad of invasive plant species that we monitor in the forest? If so, you may want to sign up for this 2 hour evening training that will give you the basics of Early Detection Rapid Response (EDRR) plant ID, and teach you ways to best respond when you identify invasive plants in the forest.
The Rapid Response Team is the "eyes and ears" of our organization when it comes to trail/forest conditions. Because we are a small organization, we rely on our RRT members to make knowledgeable observations on the trail so we can address Forest Park's ever changing needs. As a Rapid Response member with this training, you will be able to provide us with valuable information about forest conditions that can help shape future restoration efforts. At the end of the training, we will reserve 20-30 minutes for questions and other Rapid Response Team related topics.
The training is free and we will be providing free snacks and refreshments!
