What types of trees live in Forest Park? Clues are dropping left and right. Come solve the mystery on this leaf-tracing, tree-identification, family-friendly hike!
When: Saturday, November 14, 10 am to 12 pm
Where: Lower Macleay Trailhead, 2960 NW Upshur, Portland, OR 97210
Hike Lead: Renee Myers, Forest Park Conservancy's Executive Director (plus her kids!)
Hike Description: Walk along the relatively flat Lower Macleay Trail up to the stone house and back (1.6 miles round trip). Learn the difference between Forest Park's three most common conifers, trace the leaves of the Big Leaf Maple, and discover the park for its trees this fall.
Suitable for children aged 6-10 and their parents/guardians.
Remember to dress warmly for all weather conditions!
